Reclaimed Flooring

amish barn oak

This Oak is salvaged from old Amish barns which have been abandoned and forgotten in the rural countryside of mid America working with the Amish community we have set about rescuing this material where it is shipped back to our yard in Wexford where it goes through a careful process of revitalisation. A hundred and fifty years of weather has produced a character that when sanded reveals a deep rich patina.

This grade allows nail holes, cracks.. other scars and sometimes occasional old woodworm holes that together show off its history and makeup its unique character. Some of these boards can be up to 15 inches wide which really goes to show what magnificent trees once grew and can never be replaced. Usually we supply this Amish Oak in mixed widths.
